Cities in Wales :

Cardiff
Cardiff is the capital of Wales since 1955 and one of the most appealing cities of Britain. The main attractions are the tree castles: Cardiff Castle, built on the site of a Roman fort, Caerphilly Castle - an imposing fortress whose massive water defenses form the second largest castle area in Britain, and Castell Coch, a fairy-tale like castle with pepper pot turrets and round towers. Cardiff also has amazing parks and gardens like: Dyffryn Gardens, a botanical wonder, and Roath Park.
Swansea
Swansea is located on the Gower Peninsula, the UK's first designated 'area of outstanding natural beauty'. Many of the city centre buildings were destroyed during the World War II and rebuild afterwards. Within the city centre, you can visit the ruins of the castle, the Marina, the Dylan Thomas Centre, the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Swansea Museum, and the Central Market, which is the largest covered market in Wales. Swansea is also the birthplace of the famous actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.
